Modernizing magazine experiences for millions of readers
8.6M+ monthly readers engaged across brands
Prisma Media
Prisma Media is France’s largest magazine publisher, with leading titles such as Géo, Capital, Femme Actuelle, and Voici.
The challenge was to modernize legacy digital experiences, reduce reliance on advertising revenue, and create service-driven products that could drive loyalty and subscriptions at scale.
The task was to design immersive, ad-light, and subscription-ready experiences across multiple brands.
Flagship projects included: the redesign of Géo, the launch of PassPresse in partnership with Canal+, and UX/UI improvements for Femme Actuelle.
My role as Lead Product Designer was to unify fragmented stacks, scale a design system across brands, and deliver measurable growth in engagement.
From Complexity to Clarity
Readers faced intrusive ads, fragmented UX across apps and sites, and poor subscription flows.
For this case study, I focus on three major problems I solved, each showing how I turned cluttered, ad-heavy experiences into simple, immersive, and scalable product solutions.

I worked across multiple brands, balancing editorial identity with digital consistency. To ground design decisions in real data, I conducted user research and interviews with readers of Géo, Femme Actuelle, and other titles. Eye-tracking sessions revealed how ads disrupted attention flow and where users focused when scanning articles.
I transformed these insights into personas and journey maps, which were shared company-wide as alignment tools for editors, product managers, and developers. This gave all stakeholders a unified understanding of reader expectations.
On the delivery side, I built a multi-brand design system, ensuring visual consistency and efficiency. By standardizing components, I achieved 60% reuse across apps and sites, reducing design debt and accelerating delivery.
Collaboration was key: I coordinated with editors, Canal+ teams, and developers through Monday ticketing and agile rituals, ensuring design quality held up across simultaneous launches like PassPresse, Géo, and Femme Actuelle.

“Prisma Media was a turning point for me as a designer. Leading projects across Géo, PassPresse, and Femme Actuelle taught me how to scale design systems across multiple brands while preserving each identity. I learned how to balance business pressures like ads and subscriptions with user trust, and how to turn cluttered, ad-heavy experiences into clean, engaging products. It shaped my approach to media design: simplify, respect content, and create journeys that readers return to every day.”
